Classic 1980s Missoni wool skirt suit with reversible jacket.
The plaid is russet brown, forest green, burgundy, orange, as shown.
Missoni, made in Italy label in the waistband of the skirt, along with '42' size tag, wool label and Nan Duskin, Philadelphia label in the side seam.
The matching jacket has a Nan Duskin label and 'M' size tag in one of the pockets since it is reversible.
Skirt is wrap style and unlined, straight shape with slight pleating, on seam slash pockets at upper hips.
Interior hook closure and exterior button closure; the hook replaced a sewn up button hole at some point when the waistband was made about 1.5' smaller- easily corrected if needed and worth noting.
The jacket is about waist length with straight fit.
Nehru collar can be worn up or down.
Three main button front.
Patch pockets at upper waist.
Sleeves are about bracelet length.
Unpadded shoulders, welted seaming.
Angled plaid banding along the collar, placket, and hem on both sides, creating a wonderful contrast on the iconic zig-zag tweed side.
This textured weave is multi- color with almost too many to mention.
Buttons are a dark wood- ebony look, and original.
Thicker/ of a wormer weight than the skirt given the double sided wool design- great in lieu of a light to mid weight jacket.
Condition is excellent- appears very seldom worn and well cared for - minor skirt alterations noted.
No other issues to report- this stunning, authentic Missoni suit is an absolute gem!
